29.12.2019, FIRST HANUKA on the main Square OF RADOMSKO, 80 YEARS after the creation of the SECOND GHETTO OF POLAND
How meaningful it was to light the 8 candles of Hanuka on Place 3-Maja with Chief Rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich, Member of Honor of the KMR and with many inhabitants of Radomsko.
WE PUT LIGHT WHERE THERE WAS DARKNESS ! With no much publicity around the event due to lack of time, 3 TVs and 2 newspapers came ! Bravo to the numerous inhabitants of Radomsko who participated to the celebration : they are our memory, our flame !
Let’s hope that YOU will be among us next year !! Bé-Shana habaa bé-Radomsko !

The first ghetto of Poland was created immediately in October 1939 in Piotrkow Trybunalski. The second ghetto of Poland was Radomsko on December 20th 1939. The Jews couldn’t walk on that main square anymore and were confined in the adjacent streets.
Like in all the cities in Poland, the main square was inhabited by the Jews at 90%. Until the outbreak of the war, during Hanuka, all the windows of the main streets and square were illuminated by the chanukiot !
Therefore, WE PUT LIGHT WHERE THERE WAS DARKNESS ! With no much publicity around the event due to lack of time, 3 TVs and 2 newspapers came ! Bravo to the numerous inhabitants of Radomsko who participated to the celebration : they are our memory, our flame !
